Quick question - embarrassed to even ask.

If a battery pack has a 5A charge BMS, can I use a basic 2A charger?

I don't like the idea of using a bigger charger you see as I read that fast charging can be dangerous.

Thanks

Yes, the 5A is the max it can take before the MOSFET blows. You can use anything under. When choosing a charger, you should consider what the spec is for charging the cells. Whatever is the recommended for a single cell, you multiply it by the number of cells in parallel. Regardless of all that, the lower the charge rate, the better it is for the cells. Typically, the charge rate is 0.2C, so for a 3Ah cell, it's 0.6A. If you have two in parallel for a 10S2P pack, you should charge at 1.2A. I've just bpught a cpiple of 1A chargers for my 20 cell packs.
