113 x full charge cycles in 8 years if its 2014 battery. That's about a full charge every 4 weeks approx. How many miles in that period?

i bought another 500w batt in 2016 and swapped them around and thats at 79 charge cycles but both have done 1000s of miles.

i have charged it with 3 bars so not sure how it sees a full charge cycle end to end but that's what it says.

warranty is 2 years or 200 charge cycles.

How many Km or miles have you clocked up? I am just wondering what the expected lifespan of this motor is. The warranty of 200 charge cycles seems low. (Halfords, for example gave my daughter 2 years/500 charge cycles on the cheaper Pendleton)

i dont have the old motor anymore as got a cx motor last year but between the 2 batts must be about 10.000 miles and the 500w is still ok capacity wise so they do last.

m8s shimno bike has 1000 charge cycles on his warranty so it is different to bosch warranty but there still the same cells and no way that will do a 1000 charge cycles as he uses a dongle as well but has 2 batts.

the old motor did still work but the transfer gear needed replacing and a new set of bearings and it was as good as new.

so as long as you service it with new bearings ect it should last decades but the new smart frame batts from bosch wont work on any of the older motors so will make these thing obsolete.

Be interesting to see how much charge you can get into that old 2014 battery when it's completely flat which should give an indication on how much of the original 418wh it can still deliver after 8 years. I have a TP-Link smart plug that can also measure power usage (tp-link tapo p110) so when I charge my batteries I can see how much I have used. I take off about 10% for charging inefficiency

it was still ok for small trips like 5 miles but i only use turbo mode and have a brand new batt now and as there was some life left in the cells it can be used as a test pack for the hacked bms so these things can finally be recelled and not get bricked fingers crossed. :p

bosch do have a capacity tester but i dont think they have one and will take a full charge cycle out of the batt but not sure how many amps it draws.

tbh i am amazed it lasted as long as it did let alone still works and charges with a dongle its hole life.
