Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi All,

This is my first post in the forum, and I would be a proud owner of Wisper 905SE City from tomorrow :)

Here is a history of how I got involved with electric cycles:

- Saw an ad of GoCycle in a local paper, was attracted to the concept.

- Googled around and found this wonderful forum, full of useful information! (I thank the administrators for running such great forum ! )

- Went to local TETS shop for 3 times within last 3 weeks, did many test rides on all sort of e bikes. (very helpful and friendly people)..

- But I was immediately sold to Wisper bike(905SE) when I rode it!!. As I have ridden motor bike before, I thought Wisper was very similar to my previous (motor)bike!

All in all I considered buying: Infinium, Wisper 905, eZee Torq, GoCycle, and Wisper was the clear winner.

Here is a small report of GoCycle test ride:

- It is a nice and different looking cycle, but not quite there yet.
- The most bizzare thing I found on the GoCycle was to get electric power, you have to keep the red button pressed :( Not ideal for 5+ miles while commuting to work...(no pedalec sensor, no throttle...may be in future versions)
- Also I felt that center of gravity was too high while riding it...which gave a bit of unsecure feeling when taking turns....(like I was riding very thin wheels, without any thing below my seat...somewhat similar to a circus wheel :) )
- Weak battery as compared to Wisper/eZee and other standard bikes

Due to above reasons, I decided not to buy GoCycle, but I should give credit to it, because it was the main reason I got attracted to e-bikes..

Will definitely write about my wisper 905 when I have ridden it sufficiently...

Welcome to the forum and to the world of e-bikes. I have a sneaking suspicion that you have made an outstanding choice of bike.

Do let us know how it goes.
