Brakes

I guess roller or V brakes are better than poor quailty discs?Also I assume good quality ali discs are lighter and better than steel ones?


Lookiing to get my son a new normal bike.Lots of price variation with a lot of quite cheap(ish) bikes now having discs.Confused.com

I think Lloyd from 50 Cycles wrote a very informative piece about the pros and cons of various brake types some time ago. I have just tried to find it but couldn't. I'm sure a with a bit more patience you will come across it.
