There's an element of gloating in the Telegraph this morning
"Brexit Party becomes fastest growing party in modern British political history"

Have they thought for a single moment what this will do for our chances of getting any sort of trade deal with our biggest customers?

At some point they are going to get desperate to remove this used toilet roll once the no deal Brexit they die for is achieved.
The fly it the ointment is that isn't going to happen.

In some ways that is a pity, while a catastrophe, it would make a evry hard lesson for these saboteurs, and the members of the public taken in by them.

Lovely Fake news in the Express
"
Brexit Party SURGES past 100,000 registered supporters - ‘Fastest growing movement EVER’
THE Brexit Party has signed up over 100,000 registered supporters, giving them a strong claim to be the fastest growing political movement in the United Kingdom.

Actually it is the smallest
It only has one member!

What it actually is is a cult of the disappointed gullible people who were taken in by the Brexit lies that offered a glowing future
And this is interesting
https://bylinetimes.com/2019/05/15/brexit-party-donations-farages-miracle-claims-do-not-add-up/

Following yesterday’s revelations that the ‘Donate’ and ‘Registered Member’ functions on the Brexit Party site were open to abuse with multiple donations, Turlough Conway finds another huge anomaly in the party’s crowd funding claims.
On 21 April The Sun ran an interview with Nigel Farage during which he opened up his Brexit Party’s PayPal account to show the journalist “60,000 paid-up supporters in just nine days since its launch”.
The traffic shows that on the Launch day of the Brexit Party only 1,200 visitors – a fraction of the 16,000 £25 supporters Farage claimed had signed up that day
The Sun journalist also witnessed Farage logging “on to the PayPal account to let us see the range of people paying £25 to become registered supporters — with 15,811 joining on launch day alone.”
These figures have led Farage to declare a wave of popular support and funding for his new party. However, a review of the web traffic statistics for the site throws severe doubt on this claim.
More Donations and Subscribers than Visitors
Byline Times ran a traffic analysis on the Brexit Party’s website to determine what kind of overall traffic might be needed to produce that level of sign-up. The site analysis is based on a very large and diverse set of the most common browser extensions and plug-ins and is taken from one of the biggest traffic analysers in the world. (For fairness and comparison we have included the analysis from some of the other major parties). The results were very troubling indeed.
Conservative Party
Labour Party
Green PartyThe Brexit Party
The traffic shows that on the launch day of the Brexit Party only received 1,200 visitors – a fraction of the 16,000 £25 supporters Farage claimed had signed up that day. For the nine following days he said 60,000 had signed up, the actual total of visitors looks like less than 10,000.
Even if every single visitor paid money to Brexit Party PayPal account this is only 10% of the total needed for launch day and 16% for the following nine days.
The only conclusion that can be reached is that only a small proportion of PayPal payments were made via the website.
What Is Going On?
How can we explain the anomaly between what the Sun journalist saw on the 12 April in the Brexit Party’s PayPal account and the reality of the site traffic?
The PayPal totals are from transactions from the website, either from the Donate buttons in the <£500 Donation page, or from Subscriptions via the “Become a Registered Supporter” PayPal Link.

There are lies Damned lies and the Brexit Party.:D
Who was it said
If you make a lie big enough
And keep saying it
People will believe it.

True, but when the redundancy notice is served and the mortgage, the credit card, the car finance and the personal loan payments, which funded “the holiday of a lifetime “ to Disney Land, are defaulted upon, someone is going to be saddled with the bill. That’s not going to be shaven headed, fat necked Brexit Dad, he’s got nothing and is a credit charity case. It’s not going to be the financial institutions, they never lose. It’s going to be those with modest assets who lose out due to the recklessness of the Farage following fat necks. The sensible will pay via continued poor interest rates, bad returns on investment and inflation devaluing savings.

I see Grayling is back in the news for all the wrong reasons, again. His totally failed and ill advised partial privatisation of the probation service has...........dum roll and clash of symbols......failed.

What does it take to get rid of this incompetent idiot and the others like him? In no other job on the planet could these failing people survive, and remain in employment with handsome fringe benefits. It’s this sort of thing which angers people and edges them closer Farage.

(Clashed with Oyster’s post)

The Daily Mirror has latched onto Farage and his tin pot party

"
Nigel Farage's Brexit Party lets 'Vladimir Putin' sign up as a supporter
The Brexit Party's website could open the door to 'fake members' donating millions
"
Nigel Farage has been accused of allowing “fake members” to join his Brexit Party – as the Mirror signed up as Vladimir Putin.

The revelation shows how the party could be opening the door to millions in donations from foreign sources.

The former Ukip leader boasted yesterday that 100,000 people had signed up as £25-a-year supporters of his party.

But unlike most other political parties, the Brexit Party’s website has no safeguards to ensure supporters are eligible to donate to political parties in the UK.

It means Farage’s party could have received up to £2.5 million in unregistered donations, and nobody would be able to find out where they came from.

In a Twitter video, Farage told supporters: “We’ve done it. We’ve hit 100,000 registered supporters, all of you paying £25 a time.

“It is the most amazing grassroots support that’s ever been seen in this period of time in British politics.”

But a Mirror investigation found that it was possible to sign up as a Brexit Party supporter under the name of Vladimir Putin, giving the address of the Kremlin.

Really I can't think of a better qualified party to represent the Brexit voters than Farages ponzi scheme.
After all they clearly revel in being lied to and misled

People will believe it.
the tories are obsessed with replacing TM at the moment, despite the rules that stop them to do so.
Expect a lot of maneuvering and plots to unseat her. In that context, any deal will Labour will be objected to by all the plotters and aspiring members of her cabinet, left and right. Would she be strong enough to fend them off?
I would not write her off quite.
visitors figures to the websites in that report are based on Alexa's estimates, based on visitors who previously accepted alexa's cookie. they are not google analytics. Alexa can be widely inaccurate.
Also, what is the importance of 1,000-2,000 visitors to a website on the scale of digital marketing that cost £ millions?

Have you a link to prove that Alexa was the source, I have seen claims that this wasn't the case.

all the SEO profiling sites use alexa or similar as source. Google and Bing do not share their stats.
You can only harvest stats in two ways: either through a cookie + external script or directly from the web server, hence the GDPR directive.
Alexa extrapolate their data to give estimates. Alexa works a bit differently, not using cookies, in the sense that their code works like a browser extension, it tracks the users, not the webpages, thus does not require opting-in by the sites.
The BXP use google to track their visitors. Alexa can only guess from results of those users opting into their scheme, about 5%-10% of web users.
If you read the articles, you will see that there are no geographical distribution attached to those graphs. That's a telltale.
The tech people behind the articles know very well how to find 'supporting evidence'. Their source is a web SEO profiler. It's like you ask me to show Halfords e-bike sales in the ROI.

I see Farage like a hired gun.
His real job is to stop a customs union with the EU.
The ERG has so far failed to get rid of TM and her deal, so people whose business pays large import duty or face regulatory difficulties have to find somebody else.

TM is given 2 weeks by the tories backbenchers but JC can make it last a lot longer.
Next week: EP election.
The week after: the WAB.
If JC tells his MPs to abstain, the bill will pass, the ERG will be facing defeat because remainer MPs can table amendnents for a soft brexit or second referendum with a good chance of success.
