Enough to have vaccinated 21000000 people and still going.
Enough to have poised 21000000 people and still going.
Og
This was number at end of yesterday.

They seem to be having few problems with supply. As they say proof of the pudding etc.
In fact according to all sources supply will be increasing as the new vaccines become available.
You continually search for negatives, ignore what's actually happeningwith data, about efficacy, supply, delivery or procurement.
I think Susan, who between yourself and Agnew have bullied out of the way, summed you up perfectly and did have best way of dealing with you. ie. Politely ask you not to reply, which you insisted on doing continuing your attitude of insult and derision.
I wonder how many posters simply stop commenting? Oxygen James and Susan made good sensible contributions. They have left.. I wonder why.
For goodness sake OG, just examine the situation. Vaccines in UK are going extraordinarily well,in every respect.
You will not accept a single point about any of it.
The Tory fan boy comment is ludicrous, offensive, totally wrong, unneeded and utterly wrong.
Just explain to to us all, even if you are correct about dosage delay, how Tories benefit by a failed vaccine roll out. It's utterly stupid. It's like suggesting Manchester Utd manager ties his best players laces together at beginning of game. How does risking roll out benefit anybody involved. They get support for first 6 weeks of roll out then kicked out when it fails. It's an utterly ridiculous premise. I think Susan tried to explain that to you. Look where it got her.
You aren't an idiot but you sure as hell talk like one a lot.
Put your book of silly similes away, stop the insults, Tory fan boy comments and just examine what's happening here and abroad and try to show some appreciation to the folk who have helped get us in a much more optimistic position instead of searching for negatives and arguing/insulting.
We should be moaning about the lack of financial reward for NHS workers, which is appalling. 1% pay rise after all this is terrible.
You have been asked on at least 4 occasions to explain how Tories benefit by undermining vaccine roll out. Either answer it properly or stop bringing same stupid point up. And don't just offer some silly simile, platitude, insult or numbers game.

And, BTW, I accept perfectly well the delay of Pfizer could be a big mistake, I was about first to criticise it when Tony Blair first announced it as an idea. But if its wrong it's been a wrong decision for a mistake made by Sage and made with best intentions. Not for some bizar alledged not happening benefit to Johnson.
At moment it's looking like a justified and right decision. But we will not know for a good few months.

Misleading parliament should be taken with due seriousness:

Boris Johnson ‘misled parliament’ over Covid contracts, court order shows

Boris Johnson misled parliament over the publication of coronavirus contracts, a court order appears to show.
The prime minister had claimed that the contracts, which are subject to a legal challenge and cronyism allegations, were “there on the record for everybody to see”.

But a final order handed down by the High Court on Friday says the government had in fact only published “608 out of 708 relevant contracts”.
The revelation comes after a High Court judge found Matt Hancock had acted unlawfully by handing out contracts without publishing details in a timely way after a case was brought against the government by the Good Law Project.

The order, by judge Mr Justice Chamberlain says: “The Defendant has published 608 out of 708 relevant contracts for supplies and services relating to COVID-19 awarded on or before 7 October 2020.
“In some or all of these cases, the Defendant acted unlawfully by failing to publish the contracts within the period set out in the Crown Commercial Service’s Publication of Central Government Tenders and Contracts: Central Government Transparency Guidance Note (November 2017).”

As an alleged Scot, I thought you would know that we refer to injections as "jags" in Scotland. All the jabbing is done in rUK.
I do know of course, but the temptation was too good to pass up!

What Clan Wheeler?
Not one of the scunner Campbells are ye?
We make out of hours calls for less...alleged Scot indeed!
Ok I know we got burned out of house and home and and banned forever, but as far as I'm concerned Yorkshire is part of Scotland and (nearly) always has been

According to my daughter, who is attending professional seminars on virology, perhaps the devil takes care of his own, and evidence is emerging that the AZ vaccine fortuitously does improve with a delayed second jab!. No information on the Pfizer , so BJ comes up smelling of Roses. Who knew?. And the truth is nobody, certainly not BJ.

That’s what the medical advisors to the government have been saying all along ( or as flecc prefers Government Lackies). That’s why they advised the government to delay the second jab, to give more people a good level of protection from serious illness in the shortest possible time scale. Thank goodness the government listened this time.

It’s been the me me me’s on here demanding both vaccinations at the expense of their fellow citizens that has confused the issue. Hysterically, it’s been the fake socialists shouting the loudest :D

You & OG need to take your Jeremy Corbyn goggles off, they are interfering with your heads.

No doubt the confused leprechaun will appear soon with something unduly complicated, wrong and irrelevant.

Yet again, the NHS 1% pay rise issue is for England. Wales, at least, is thinking otherwise:

Ministers will not try to cap any pay rise for Welsh NHS staff in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Wales' health minister has said.
The UK government has faced a backlash after saying a pay rise for staff in England should be capped at 1%.
Vaughan Gething MS said on Friday that Welsh NHS workers "deserved a pay rise".

There is no single right in the application of the vaccines, it depends on the objective and in consequence the question asked.

Decades of Tory government and their ten years of austerity had left the NHS in a parlous state with the lowest number of hospital beds per 100,000 of the population than any other advanced country. Hence the Nightingale hospitals, but they proved useless since we had no staff for them after Brexit caused our EU recruiting to collapse.

So our prime objective was to save the NHS from collapse and that guided the question, how do we do that. The answer was the two jab system as I've shown, but putting saving the health service before saving patients is an odd priority.

Another valid objective is putting saving patients lives first, which prompts that different question for which the answer is different, getting the two jabs into the highest risk of death first at the best intervals.

A third valid objective is to use the vaccines to minimise the infections in the first place, and that's done by jabbing the youngest first from 18 up as some Oriental countries are doing and which our experts say has considerable merit.

You see, no right answer, it's horses for course once more, solely dependent on the circumstances. I believe the second of putting the patients first was the better way for us, but either way it's a gamble no matter who the experts are. No-one knows yet.

No, it won't fail for the reasons stated, UNLESS a new variant overcomes us once again. In that case it still isn't failure, just as the current variants aren't being seen as failure

Of course I believe it, it's all verifiable facts and why Woosh who has a lot of appropriate knowledge promptly agreed.
.
Perhaps you should tell OG it won't fail.???And in which case criticism of delay is rather futile and misplaced. But you encourage OG even though you see vaccine roll out as a success??

Let's ask OG. He, ll know. Don't like champagne any how.. Well actually the cheap stuff from Lidl at about 4p a bottle is great. We always bring a van load of that back.. Fizzy, white, 12%, semi sweet... what more do you want. Lot of bo!! ox talked about wine..
We once went to a pretentious wine tasting do and had to take a bottle, wrapped in silver foil. (to hide its origin, but we knew they cheated) . We put plonk they sell wild at our local (in France) into a real expensive bottle and recorked it. You know the stuff, free range, stains everything. Dark red, as you get to bottom of massive barrel it needs stirring. You take a litre milk container and they fill it with red 3 star unleaded for 45p.
The stuff won. We laughed all way home. All the fools sipping and spurting, sucking in air through it. Then saying they could taste strawberries and almond because there are almond trees in that region you know. I reckon it was the anti freeze.. Idiots.
My last alcoholic drink was on the stroke of Midnight as the year 1999 ended!
