That is very interesting, just a shame they are only available in 700c.

I'll bet you could make your own with a bit of ingenuity.
I can remember in my youth (many years back) cutting through a badly punctured tube and knotting the two ends as a "get me home" measure. This was before I realised the importance of carrying a good tool kit and puncture outfit, at least I had a pump!
maybe worth carrying one for that dark rainy muddy time, though it would probably mean destroying your original tube to get it off.
I must experiment with a spare tube.

The end overlapping ones have been found to self puncture due to abrasion, so best avoided. That butt end one looks useful though.

Yes, I seem to remember discussing them a couple of years ago, and that was the consensus.
