Can anyone give me some advise on where to park my car in Bristol on Sunday for visiting the Electric Bike Festival?

Cheers,
Steve

What time does it start? Is there an official web page with all the details.

The demo area will be open from 11 - 5pm . The First race starts at 2pm, (if you are competing you need to turn up at scrutineering from 1.15pm ) World Championship race from 3pm (ish)

The Race Centre is based at the bottom of Park Street

There is still lots to do if you arrive early - childrens events , solar stuff and lots more

Hope that helps

Hope everyone going along later today has a great time and enjoys the event....

and good luck to race entrants ... if I were a betting man I'd put money on some outrageous mods having been lined up to chase pole position. I wonder how many motors can you get to work simultaneously on an eBike !!

Nine!

Front and rear hub motors, concentric crank motor, offset pair of Cyclone crank drive motors on down tube driving a chain wheel, front wheel friction drive on tyre, rear wheel friction drive on tyre mounted ahead of seat stays, and a rim drive pair like that on this French e-bike
.

I thought of it, but the Currie can only be used with bike hubs, not the rear hub motor.
Going to have a go putting mine on to a Powacycle wheel soon, if it works will give a report.

Not as standard it won't, there's no adaptor for anything other than 36 spoke 3 cross build wheels. At one time a few 32 spoke adaptors were made but they are no longer around.

I only considered available standard mounting motors for that 9 of course. Once special lash-ups are made there's little limit to how many motors can be fitted. I could add at least two more with special adaptation measures for example, a Currie Electrodrive and a Swizzbee-Heinzman rear frame belt drive motor, and with special measures another Cyclone could be added to the downtube on some frames, making 12 in all.

But with standard outfits, 9 is the limit.

Umm not measured anything up yet and wont get chance next week as have exams all week. But was thinking of taking the freewheel off the Currie and fitting it to the Powacycle as long as the axils are same size.

I think the Powacycle spindle is 12 mm, standard bike spindles are 10 mm. The Electrodrive has always been an awkward beast, as standard not even possible to fit it to hub gears, very much for single speed or derailleur with small flange standard bike hubs.
