If you want controllable cutting, use a multitool.
10 Jobs You Can Do With a Multitool - Popular Mechanics
Available in various brands - Fein (pricey), Bosch (not so pricey), other makes too. Aldi and Lidl also have them twice a year for £25 or so.
Thanks Scimitar, I was looking at the Bosch model, but I think it's not going to make any straight cut on sheets. It's a good tool though, but not for what I have to cut.

Hi cwah old daves tip is the best plus I would change the saw to something like this 1200W-Circular-Saw-10957584e, Circular Saws, Sawing

then watch this. John

Thanks John!! A circular saw seems to be a great tool.

But I've also found this Bosch jigsaw:
Gst140Ce2 Gst140Ce Professional Jigsaw 240V 3165140632591 Gst140Ce2

Apparently it can do super straight cut and it's also able to do plunge cut. Would maybe be a bit more handy than a circular saw? (as I have a small one now)

If you're buying a jigsaw, you have to pay that kind of price for something decent. Cheap ones are sheeyite, and wander all over the place. If you're really intent on cutting straight lines, even an expensive one won't do it for you - you must run it against a guide or have rock-steady hands/eyesight.

I already have a dremel 4000 that is able to sand, grind, drill, cut. I'm planning to replace it with a proxxon rotary tool because it's much more precise.

My initial cut on the polycarbonate sheet was with the dremel. The plastic cut was horrible, not straight at all and the plastic melted wherever the cutting disc has been.

Is an oscillary tool any better? I believe the plastic may not melt but I don't think I'd be able to cut straight with it

I went to B&Q today to get a refund on the Worx Saw. They refused it because apparently it was used... But I only used it once!!!

I thought they had a 45 days return policy, but that's completely untrue!!!
