Well spotted. I think it's been common knowledge that Brompton have been looking at the electric option for a while but this is possibly the first time an ETA has been suggested.

Shame there are no photos that might give us a clue as to what type of motor they're using. I can't imagine a handlebar mounted battery would give much range but I guess this could just be a feature of the prototype.
