Because of the numerous post and repeated replies about adding electric assistance to the Brompton, I have volunteered on the Yahoo Brompton forum to updated the associated wiki page with a summary of what is possible/available.
Its still very much a work in progress and the challenge is to cover all the options and associated issues without going into huge depth. I am told by people there, that trawling through build threads is too complicated. I think many prefer to just purchase kits anyway.

I have tried to remain impartial with the content but as you know I am a big fan of Tongxin and Keyde motors. If others have any comments about what I should add/change I would be grateful. Perhaps I should add some more info about the larger Bafang type motors or Crystilite (spelling) Brompton specific motor (though I am not sure it is produced any more). Again I could add links to the many specific DIY related build threads here as well ?
