Fair review - I've watched his Brompton reviews before. I commented on my own D11
here. Don't know what's up with his brakes - contamination, or warped discs maybe. Fiido will send him new ones if he asks. Mine are fine.
Yes, everyone says the grips are horrible - I replaced mine with leather ones (£10). And yes, the reach is short - they shortened it after the original production batch. Don't know why.
There are other changes too since his bike - a new display, and the controller cover is easier to remove to fit the mudguards (the bike was originally never designed to have them; the indiegogo backers pushed Fiido into adding them).
He doesn't mention it weighs about the same as a Brompton electric: Given the huge price differential, the D11 isn't perfect by any means, but it's pretty darn good for £800.
