Buy a crank drive now or wait till spring?

I just came across an Australian seller of BBS01's for~270 gbp/$500aud, now the question is buy now (just entering Autumn here in Oz) or wait until Spring (6 months) to see if anything else comes out or any Improvements to the BBS01?
I already have a few ebikes to ride this will be going on my Trike.

That price is quite good. There's the Xofo one available just about now, which looks a bit more stylish, and I would expect a few other exciting things will appear in the big Spring shows.
