Well it was going to happen sometime, I came off on some sheet ice in the Humber bridge car park. Its lethal down there and the temp was 4c.

skidded across the ice for 5 yards. Nice! I had me keys in my pocket which ripped through my waterproofs and my leg.

Bike held up pretty well, cant say the same for my leg! Its a shame that the humber bridge board have stated "When it gets icy, we suggest you dont use the foot path."

What kind of answer it that! Anyway felt less bad when I got to work and found my other four pals had also come off too.

Ouch! Sounds nasty dodgyal, hope you recover quickly. Good to know the Wisper can take the odd crash! Amazing that four others dropped their bikes too - what are the odds?!

Nothing helps against ICE on the road :( .
This morning in Belgium it was around zero degrees and on the way to work I had rain and that on a frozen underground ... The last 2km I had to walk to work. It was not a good idea to bike to work this morning
1hour10 minutes, normally I do it in 45 minutes.

Regards,
Jo

Get well soon!

Hi Dodgy

Sorry to hear that, was there any damage on the bike? We have a lot of spares and bits from bikes we use for testing etc and I am sure we could help if you have any problems for the price of the postage!

Best regards David

Yep, Wispers go on for ever, bit like Triggers road sweeping broom, gone on for years, only had 16 new heads and 12 new handles! Only joking David! Tony.

My Dad's Antique carving knife

Hi Tony

My Dad has a carving knife like that. Apparently it dated back to circa 1750 and in all that time has only had 4 new blades and 6 new handles! :D

All the best David

Thanks Guys! I'm fine and the Whisper held up very well consdiering the speed I went down!

No damage really which is great! They seem to travel just as good sideways as they do upright! My leg was hurting a little so I took it easy and throttled a little more on that journey.

I now have a snow tyre on the front which helped this morning. Its good on thin ice which is perfect for the humber bridge which gets a layer even before it hits 0c. I even got off on some black ice to test its capabilities and it digs in well and give a lot better grip, just watch I dont get too cocky. :D
