I think you still need to get the mount off the bike and onto the helmet ...
When the mount is on the bike it takes all the vibration from the road ...

This does depend on the bike, the camera and the mounting method and position. The smoothest footage I have was taken as follows:
Bike: Cannondale CX700 (no suspension)
Camera: PSP cam (17g)
Mount method: Elastic band around light
Position: Rear
I do have some pretty good front view stuff as well ... I'll have a look and see if I can put together a collection showing my results on different bikes with different cameras mounted in different places ... I have a spreadsheet which I have sadly neglected which I'll have a look at ... Its on google docs so if you want to have access just PM me your google email address if you have one ...

There is an entry for each video clip and the url link it. This spreadsheet is amazing! .. although sadly neglected ... I last updated it in May last year! ..
