Hello,

I've noticed my rim has a 2 X 1.75 size, so ideally I should get something like this 1.75 size:

But this size doesn't allow me to get these downhill thick tube:

The tube is for 2.5 to 2.7 diameter.

I wonder if I'd have trouble if I get a downhill tube that is thicker than it should? I had lots and lots of flats recently and I'd like to avoid them as much as possible.

Or can I only get a small one like this?

Thank you

You'd be better off with a tube to fit the tyre. A tube to fit 1.75 - 2.1 should be OK though, I wouldn't use a thick downhill tube unless you are going to fit fatter tyres. I have fitted 2.25 width tyres to a 26" rim which equally support a 1.75 on my old Saracen MTB without any problems.
As for flat tyre avoidance the reinforced protection of the schwalbe tyre should help but you might want to try adding slime to your tube... I've not had a flat since I added slime and I do a lot of rough off road stuff!

I am running 26x1.85 instead of 26x1.75 and I think up to 2 should fit OK.

I replaced my 1.75's with 2" schwalbe big apples. Ideally would have like to gone up to 3" but doubt they would fit on my rims.
