Can it be done?

Second post so definately new to electric bikes.
The wife has a lovely Canondale Nexus which I would like to electrify, probably pedalec as she likes to keep fit and this will be about distance. The issue is the bike has a Shimano 8 speed hub on the back, a fully enclosed crank and a roller brake on the front. From what I have read so far I can't see how I can do it, I did initially think I would be able to get a front hub motor that would take the roller brake but i haven't found one yet.
Does anyone have any ideas.
