You lift the wheel and get someone else to turn the pedal. Watch the speedo for the max mph, and listen for the cut out.

Even on a low gear itd still be getting something as my lowest is 53-25

Ok just did it myself quickly the max I saw on the lcd was 19 mph. It may go even higher if I test it properly with 2 people. Guess that explains why I can keep up with all but the best road bikes.

On another note as cyclotricity provided me this as stock will I be fine riding it legalwise? This is beyond the 10% but I havn't actually tampered with the settings.
