Can you throw some light on this please

recently bought used Forza lights not working,cant see any main cable damage, had quick look discovered broken thin blue wire under b. bracket , i would have thought this has to do with motor regulating.
any help appreciated.

John thanks for helpful reply i will carry out further tests. although i cannot see thin blue wires on diagram only thick ones.

That is only a schematic of the wiring routes and connectors, not detailed.

The Forza spec varied a few times, but usually a loose wire in that area was the derestriction link. Originally a 20 mph assist machine in some phases of it's life it lost that, and at other times the restriction if linked reduced the assist speed to about 12 mph from 15.5 mph.

The restrictor had to be disconnected to get the higher speed option.

It usually took the form of a connector on a twin core wire with a flying spur which had to be plugged in to connect the two cores for restriction. Here's a pic showing the flying blue link (1) unplugged from the connector (2) for 20 mph. If it's not that, I cannot help:
