Can't get a key cut

I have a 5 year old Salisbury Powabyke and am trying to get a spare key cut.
I've tried 4 key cutting shops and locksmiths and have been told that they no
longer have the correct blank in order to cut the key. I only need a blank - they
can do the rest.
Any one had a similar problem who might know of a solution?

Thanks

Allan

Remove the tumblers from the lock, then you can use any key or a screwdriver to operate the lock. Nobody else will know, so your battery will still be safe - if that's important.

I've done it to loads of locks because I'm not very good with keys. Cheaper than having a key cut too.

post a picture of the tumbler.
if it looks familiar, I'll tell you where you can get a replacement tumbler + keys for less than a tenner

The lock has a crimped on plate. Prise off the plate. Behind it, you can see the circlip that hols in the lock body. Remove the circlip to slide out the lock, but be careful: The tumblers can fall out. If you want to put it back together, they need to go back in the same order otherwise your key won't work. You need the key in to rotate the lock into the removal position.

I know Woosh have these tumblers - PM hatti, it's similar to the tumbler on their Sirocco 1. They charge about £7 for the lock with 2 keys. You will have to swap the tumbler out, the switch at the base of the lock is different.

that's the same lock & keys for the Woosh Sirocco 1, the ebay source you referred to is in China.

Time to use Hattie then. Support your local stockist. They are making a small profit and providing good competieon in the budget price range
