Taken battery out as sparkChecked the rear part of where the battery plugs in the plus and minus are reading a dead short on a meter what did suggest the main brain has gone as when the battery was plugged in there was no electrics

What's wrong with your bike? How did it go wrong? Is it a Carrera Vulcan E or a converted Vulcan?

No power/screen
When fitting or taking battery out
It’s sparks got multimeter on terminals where battery goes inAnd there is a dead short between the live and negative prongs disconnected motor cable and still a dead short

There's a massive capacitor across the two battery terminals, so you'll always measure a dead short. That's why you get a spark too. You shouldn't connect the battery when it's switched on because you'll eventually burn away the terminals.

You still haven't told us anything about how your bike went wrong.

How do you turn battery of when fitting then and removing ?? Many thanks rob

Try looking for a battery fuse if the screen doesn't turn on as the battery voltage is not getting through or look for damaged wiring.
