Chain for 2008 Pro Connect (Alfine 8)

I am just about to order a new chain from 50C. Their website shows two different chains, Shimano XT Chain and KMC chain. A note at the side of the XT chain says that it is for the S and 9G, so I saaume, by a process of ilimination, that I need the KMC chain?

I have heard people on here say that they have ordered the chain from 50 C only to find that it isn't long enough. Can anyone offer advice? Is it the KMC chain that I need? Do I need to buy two to make up the correct length or is it supplied long enough?

It probably is the KMC, but KMC make all chain types so really they should be referred to by size.

Your bike needs a 1/8" chain, derailleurs use 3/32" chain for up to 8 speed and a bit narrower for 9 and 10 speed cassettes.

Best order by email or phone quoting the 1/8" size and mentioning your bike and gear hub. 50c do stock long enough ones but also shorter chains.
