I have just fitted a new chainring and chain this morning, or at least I would have had I thought about a pedelec being longer than a normal bike.
Just for info a standard 116 link chain is not long enough with a battery behind the seatpost, even with a small chainring and no megarange. I should have thought about his before I got filthy. :(

So two chains needed? Or buy two, use the 2nd to lengthen the first, & keep the rest to lengthen the next new chain?

(Is nothing on these e-bikes standard? )

And don't kick yourself, you'll get mud all over your trousers and fall over.

I should have 3 but they are out of stock at the moment so I only have the 1, I'm going to order another 1 so that I have 3 usable chains to rotate. As long as I rotate the split links (each chain will need 2 and there's only 4 in total) it should all work well.

Just can't be standard with the mid battery position of course, and standard chains fall just a tiny bit short.

There are some sources of longer chains, for recumbents for example, so could be worth speaking to recumbent agents as an alternative to buying two chains.

Otherwise a local bike shop may be happy to throw in a workshop offcut with a new chain.
