Hi, I am new here and new to electric biking, so hello all.

Not the way to start knew on a forum but here goes. I bought an old Kalkhoff pro connect S, when I test rode it I new there was an occasional clicking sound but thought to myself its just chain related so not a problem.
I have been on a few rides with no problems then the bike locked up, this I now know to be chain suck (googled it). The chain is wrapping around the drive sprocket so I bought a new drive sprocket, idler next to it and new chain. All assembled and it is still doing it? is there something I am missing? black art maybe?
The sprocket bought is 10 tooth and the chain 138 link but I have no idea if that's correct for this bike as I have no manual. Can anyone help I am pulling my hair out trying to cure it.

Is the chain the correct pitch for the sprockets (distance between pins) ?,it only has to be a fraction out and the chain will grab at the sprockets and not flow.I fitted new sprockets with a worn chain on mine a few years back and exactly the same thing happened as you describe.Everything has to be new when replaced.

Flecc who is a very knowledgeable contributor on this forum has a Panasonic units support site that has a lot of very useful info on it.

Yes it was a new chain and sprocket, to be honest I don't know what is the correct spec for the chain, I am not even sure what year the bike is lol
