charger/battery problem

Hello again, I seem to be needing a lot of help recently! Last month replaced my charger for my Wisper battery as the old one seemed to be completely dead. Because of a puncture and then the snow I 've hardly been out since so have only had to use the new charger once . I didn't notice any problem then but I realised last night after it had been plugged in for a while that there were no lights on . When I looked at the kettle connection into the charger it was loose so I assumed it just hadn't been pushed fully in. However even when I pushed it in it was still very wobbly and didn't feel at all secure. I managed to get it into a position where the red and amber light were on and I left it overnight. This morning though, the amber light still hasn't turned to green and the battery has not been charged . I'm thinking that the charger is the problem but I wonder if it could be anything to do with the battery. Although its only done a few hundred miles(I got the bike 2nd hand) its probably around 2 years old now. Again any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

ps I'm beginning to think that someone up there is trying to tell me that I really should just bite the bullet and go for a new Alpino!

hi, is the charger making a noise ? i.e. is the fan running........
lots of info on this site suggests battery has only 2 year shelf life...why dont you take it to lawntech in dundee so john can have a look at it.
wisper should also know from the serial number when it was registered and if its less than 2 years then charger and battery should still be under warranty....
regards. if not the see if you can part ex bike at lawntech for alpino ....good xmas present to yourself.....

regards

Hello, no the fan isn't on, there's no noise at all coming from the charger. As it happens I discovered yesterday that there's a Wisper outlet in Glasgow , which is closer than Dundee for me, so I'll phone them and ask if they can have a look at the battery -good advice , thanks. .I had already asked them yesterday about a trial ride on an Alpino so I could hopefully combine the two:)

hi, is the place in glasgow a wisper service centre ? best to get from a service centre if you can...first service is free from service centre and i have had a few teething problems with new bike which they have been dealing with.
will post a report when bike settles in.....706 alpino.
free service only available from original supplier...not like buying a new car !!!!
