Claude butler electric bike glide 2

Hi I am new here, first posting. I have bought glide 2 but can't figure out how to remove the battery so I can take it inside to charge it.
Can anyone advise please.
I have unlocked the key lifted the handle at the rear and tried to slide it out. It seems like it is attached to the bike permanently as it won't budge at all.

There are usually 3 positions to the key:
3 - locked, with power ON;
2 - locked, with power OFF;
1 - unlocked, with power OFF.

Are you sure yours isn't in "position 2"? Have you rotated the key "completely"?
