Hi Mussels...there is no spare movement....does BB stand for bottom bracket ?Hold each crank and see if there is extra movement, the problem should be quite clear
What's that mean ?the cup and cone BB is a PITA,
BB is bottom bracket, PITA is "Pain in the arse" and 'cup and cone' is an old type of bottom bracket that isn't popular now(still common on wheel bearings).Hi Mussels...there is no spare movement....does BB stand for bottom bracket ?
What's that mean ?
cheers....Mike
That's the BB, if it was loose then you would feel play in both pedals. Slight play isn't unusual.Mussels...this is what I have...
....Looking at the left hand side...a thin 3mm locking nut...needs a special key or can be tapped with a screwdiver and hammer to remove.
If that were removed there's a nut with 2 extrusions that appears to screw into the frame and could be removed useing a flat blade on either side of each extrusion.
There is no play at all on the cranks...everything looks normal.
David....No, no word from Norman yet...
thanks....Mike
