Coasting down hill

when freewheeling down hill or tail wind is it advisable to switch battery power off ? , I note from the Erider moped dos and donts they say leave switched on to avoid damaged to the motor/controls .

No need to switch off just simply let gravity/ enertia of the scooter mass to take over.
