I've maybe found a way to commute with an e-scooter:
- It only weigth 10kg
- It's really small and can be put in a bag
- It reaches 20km/h during 20 km
- I can use it on sidewalk.
- It's amazingly cheap (less than £100 and I won't be bothered to get it stolen)

Only big problem: It's for kid. And I would be so ashamed to go to work with that (I would hide it before anyone can see me). But still... this little kid e-scooter is almost what I'm looking for: small enough to be carried anywhere and relatively fast.

Why no one use it? It seems quite practical actually. Is it because it's for kids?

In your previous post you say that 25k is to slow, I think you're having a laugh. If I were you I would get the PINK one, I think it would suit you LOL.

In my previous post, I'm saying 25k/h is DANGEROUS on the road. It's dangerous because it's too slow.

But if I can use this e-scooter on the sidewalk (as this is for kid), that's fine.

I'm just looking for an easy way to commute with all the hassle that include. Moped are difficult to park and bike are dangerous.

I reckon if you team the scooter with board-shorts and a back-to-front baseball cap you'll get away with it!!;)

If you ride at 20kph on those wheels you will need to replace your teeth fillings every week. It would be so uncomfortable to ride even over short distances.

I know this because Jannie had a strange double platform scooter with similar wheels to your link. It is just awful going fast downhills.

Have you tried putting one on each foot of some 10 foot stilts? You really should try it. I'm pretty sure it would be just great.

It is not legal in the UK, either on pavements or roads, this proved long ago in a test case. A number of these have been seized by the police in various areas and destroyed on magistrate's orders. The only scooters permited here are the unpowered ones.

The only unregistered e-vehicles allowed here are mobility vehicles conforming to the 4 mph/8mph pavement/road speeds, pedestrian controlled vehicles conforming to the 4 mph law and e-bikes. A scooter does not qualify as an e-bike.
