Hi, the controller I have is Rated current: 12-22Amps, maximum current: 25-40Amps.

battery is BMS 25Amps, peak 45Amps

would it be a problem?

Tell us the max speed of the wheel off the ground and the wheel size, we can approximate the rpm.

I dont know the rpm but its 1500W

The battery is 24.5Ah
The RMP is an important characteristic. It has a profound effect on the current. A fast motor will draw higher current for more of the time and wouldn't be suitable for that battery and controller unless the controller gives the option to turn the current down.

With the wheel lifted, the throttle meter displayed 35mph as I don't have an lcd. wheel size is 700c

Approx 430rpm unloaded.
The battery peak amperage is only a temporary power output which might be able to be sustained for 10- 30 seconds.
