Controller Query

My understanding of controllers is not great.

If a controller (KU 123) was eg. capable of allowing 30Amps max and my motor demanded it yet my battery was only capable of giving eg. 22 Amps max, what would happen ? Would the bike cut out or would the controller realise the battery couldnt give enough power and would only supply 22 Amps to the motor ?

the bike will cut out when the battery cuts out.
Your battery can for a short period supply twice as much as its rated countinuous current, but it will overheat and its thermistor will shut the battery down within a couple of minutes.

I had a similar situation. One way I dealt with it, was to put two batteries in parallel.
