Current best way to monitor battery time left?

Apparently it fits into a Cell log housing directly and the shunt value is 1 mil ohm.

It's a shame they don't sell it in the case. It would save a lot of messing about.
You could only use the controller's shunt if there's a calibration procedure. By the time you've opened up the controller and soldered all the wires, it would be much easier to make your own shunt out of a piece of battery wire.

Only one connection would need to be made within the controller with my setup, there is a spare unused wire in the led handle bar control unit which goes back to the controller I would only have to tap this off the shunt, then all the wiring bat+ (already fused), bat- and shunt signal would be available at the led unit. All that would be required would be a 3 core cable from the led unit to the watt meter.
