Hi all, I have had one of these for a couple of years now n generally love it, especially after converting from 24v SLA to 36v li ion. While adding some cables for an auxiliary battery I noticed 2 white wires coming from the controller. 1 of them has what appears to be some sort of variable rheostat on it and they have compatible connecters, so my questions are 1)What are these for, and 2) should they be connected?
Regards, Mark

Be interesting if anyone has an answer on this one, as I never figured it out when I had a Cyclamatic. Shame Dave has gone coz he'd know. We both tinkered with the good ole Cyclamatic.

Did kinda guess it might be one of those self learning connectors to auto program the phase.

BTW, mine were always disconnected like yours and the bike rode fine.

Thanks for your reply Fordulike. Yes, mine has always been disconnected seemingly without any ill effects, but it bugs me coz they look like they should be connected, lol, just don't want to do any harm.

Yes, very interesting threads thanks Fordulike. Have heard of some of it before, ie soldering the shunt, however my main priority at the moment is range over performance. Maybe if I could find another one cheap & local another wee beastie could be born, lol.

Fitted sine wave controller to foldaway + LCD which has improves the rideabilty of the bike 100% and that’s with a 24 volts battery.
This controller and LCD can also up to 36 volts when my old battery fails.

Mark, with the 5 levels of assist I can select means, I can ride at the speed and pace I wish to go.
Also the battery appears to give me more miles as it is not having to give full power on demand all the time.
And the sine wave system seems very smooth.

Ahh yes, I see what you mean. Regulating speed while pedalling is defo not easy at the moment. Thanks, that's given me something else to ponder.
