Hi all. Just had a stroke of luck I cycled to my Local wetherspoons in Exeter (The Sawyers ) and who should I meet was Tim Martin ( the big boss ) who lives In Exeter and I asked if he had a couple of minutes and he said ( I'll give you thirty seconds ) so I did my best and gave him the Cyclecharge leaflets and said it was a good idea and promised to look into it ?? What more can you ask!!.steve :D

Great we could go all around the country eating and drinking & staying at Wetherspoons ????
only when we've ALL been made redundant and don't need to work anymore. I was hoping to be a "gleedundant" but my wife tells me I've gotta work another 15 years! Something about not having a pension ?

You'll be fine Mick. Just keep putting those carpets into bags!
and you keep fitting those kitchens..or are you just always in the kitchen at parties ?

I've always had a problem with fitting. Can't fit kitchens, can't fit in at parties. Having said that the bucket seat of my "bent" is a perfect fit.
I passed by Weatherspoons in Basingstoke on Friday. I may plan some spoon2spoon rides but I doubt if I'll be going in any of them. I'll stick to "normal" pubs preferably in the country.

Then you are missing some of the best pubs in the country. Just because they are a well recognised pub chain don't mix them up with the food chain pubs or young people "fun" pubs. Most are very tasteful with no music (even the slot machines have sound turned off or at least down in most). And they always have at least a dozen real ales on tap from all around the country including a lot of the small regional brewers all at good prices (from 1.99 to 2.50). You will be surprised how many of them are in the Camra Good Pub Guide.

Thanks GaRRy. I hate making mistakes and that was so nearly another one! All part of my education.

All the Wetherspoons around here are known as the places whinos hang out because of the cheap beer. We went in one when we had a long weekend at York, that served breakfasts. We went in about 10am, and there were drunks in there already.

Strange all the ones I visit at that time are more likely to be full of pensioners having a coffee
