Hi Everyone,

Thought it was time we gave you an update on the progress we have made so far.

We were delayed slightly by 'technical hiccups' for the stickers but are almost back on track now.....thanks to Pauls dedication and hard work.......

We still expect to fully launch the scheme in January, when we will have ready the stickers and information sheet for the chargepoints and the membership cards for all of us wanting to join the scheme.
Then we all have to get as many chargepoints online as possible, but we have a lot in the pipeline already.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the scheme so far, and a special thank you to WISPER and JUICY BIKES who are very generously sponsoring us.
We are also grateful for the full support and help of BEBA for the scheme and are proud to now be associate members.
More donations and sponsors would obviously be welcomed........ :)

We are looking forward to an exciting New Year with the launch and the benefits to all of us, especially those who would like to ''cycle around '' a bit further from home :)

It is so exciting to see this scheme finally taking shape.......so, watch this space !

Or 'cycle' over to CycleCharge UK - The UK's Electric Bike Charging Scheme

Any progress on non-PayPal methods of contributing yet?

I'm ready with a contribution but will not use PayPal in any way whatsoever. I know that I'm far from alone in this.

Hi Flecc......and also anyone else who doesnt like PayPal......how about Google Checkout ?
We could set that up this afternoon.....that is the simplest alternative.

Otherwise we could take Bob up on his very kind offer to do a card transaction through Juicy Bike with a link/form on the Cyclecharge website.
Would this help anyone at all ?

Whichever you find convenient and secure Lynda and Paul, I'll then follow up with a contribution you'll find very welcome.

Hi Lynda,

Donation sent;)

Regards,
Thankyou.....really appreciated.

We are still trying to sort out the alternative payment options for anyone not wanting to use paypal......it
has been a mutual 'pulling out of hair' afternoon for paul and I so far :)
But .....we are getting there.....

I used PayPal because it is quick and easy, but I appreciate the costs to the recipient.
What about Bank Transfer? It is almost as quick and easy if you have access to online banking provided the recipient has a bank account.

Believe me....we have considered all options.....all of which have their own associated problems......but hope to sort it soon.

Online transfer is fine with me, but I don't know if it would be too expensive for Cyclecharge.

Just to clear up a few queries....
We are too small at the moment for a bank account thats why we are using Paypal as a bank account that we can pay suppliers etc out of.
The 3% charge to us can be avoided if using the 'gift' option.
If anyone would like to use bank transfer they can email paul direct at
paul@cyclecharge.org.uk and can pay it direct to his bank account then he can transfer it to our paypal account if that suits anyone better.
