They are useful as they fit neatly onto sunglasses or onto your cycling helmet using the above adaptor. These mirrors are specially made for the UK market and are suitable for cycling on the left.
We saw someone with one in the USA a few years ago and liked it so much we asked the manufacturer to supply some for the UK. You never have to look over your shoulder again which can't be a bad thing. You can't keep safe enough on our roads.
