DaaHub/Specialised goes to Benidorm!

DaaHub goes to Spain - YouTube

A bit of fun! Taken with my new Contour Roam, I only got the camera at end of holiday so no time to do anything much...... My son did this on his Mac as I am having all sorts of problems with PC after upgrading to windows 7. You will have to excuse the bushy eyebrows and shades, as the Roam has a wide angle lens..I will have to play about with mounting it properly, I have a handlebar adapter as well.....First time doing this and it takes hours to upload!

Both of us like the same sort of stuff more or less, he is far more up to date..Head of Uni radio next year, and has his own band "Cloud chamber" (guitar/piano). I had nothing to do with video had to laugh when I heard it " comes from the land of the ice and snow" sounds about right me thinks!lol

Nice Video! Fantastic area for cycling. I can understand the attraction of an e-bike a la motor home.

Send more!

My God, Ive never seen a bike move at that kind of velocity before, were you being chased by the police? Ok its the costa del crime but do they really tolerate that kind of high speed whooping it up on and off pavements and multiple near collisions. Two old folk must be in cardiac arrest and that young lad had to sommersault out your way, shocked I am I say. Live bulls running about the streets are nothing in comparison!

I cannot discuss speed on an open forum...dont think I would be entirely welcome over on ES, You get people walking out blindly all the time.....Like lemmings.

There is a lovely marbled promanade beach side. But oh no, they have to throw themselves into the traffic! That I am cycling the wrong way down a one way street is totally coincidental and beyond the point....:p (joke - its OK for bikes)

Just wondering if you made it up to Alcoy? Loads of steep hills up there and loads of lycra on the road, I reckon if you did, you sure gave them a run for their money......
BTW, fancy setting up a rental in good old Beni?

Must be awesome touring the mountains of southern spain on an ebike. A steady 15mph breeze to keep you cool (or in Eds case a 35mph gale) and cheap tapas in the shade. I spent alot of time down there long ago, bet it not so cheap now.

Oh I dont know, Benidorm pretty cheap, and why its so popular with northern Europeans overwintering. 1€ a pint (80p) 3 course meal with half bottle of wine 8-10€

The best thing to me is the wonderful fresh fruit/veg and seafood, even eggs much nicer.... 1kg Languistine approx 6€ (16 in France)

Wow, there is something almost Godly about being able to buy olives and langoustine and wine in a park in the sun at producers prices. Spain is such a beautiful country with people so full of health and vitality and common sense and optimism, these financial capitalists who are raping our continent need rounded up and thrown off Europa Point, IMHO.
