Top service..a shining example. While better if bikes dont go wrong, they all go wrong, and its just a matter of when and how the retailer responds that sets them apart.

I have owned a Raleigh velor city for 20 months and unfortunately have had quite a bit of bother with it this last time i plugged battery to charger and charger stayed green even though battery was only part charged , i rang Raleigh who said it was the charger , i bought a new charger and it still stayed green so i went to the shop where i bought the bike and said could they get a battery under guarantee for me as the booklet says batteries are guaranteed for 2 years only to be told that is not the case usually only 6 months , i said in the light of previous problems i have encountered i think it should be free of charge , i am awaiting their reply , i have only done 200 miles on it and have kept it charged regularly as instuctions

The previous Raleigh e-bikes, models Leeds and Leicester using the Panasonic crank motor and made by Derby Cycles gmbh who also make Kalkhoffs had a two year warranty, including the battery.

Your Raleigh Velo City is now Dutch made by a different group and hub motor of course and may only have a one year battery warranty. You could check through more than one Raleigh dealer found by using this link to get accurate information on the warranty.
