I have a 2012 Kalkhoff Endevour that now needs a new motor.Do I spend almost £600 for a new motor,taking into consideration the age of the bike,or buy a bike and convert to hub motor for equivalent money value.The fault with the Bosch motor is the large plastic internal gear is smashed and I can't find a replacement.I need some for/against help please.

No brainer ,really.I vote this.
Do a conversion, you might be able to use components from the Khalkoff wheels, gears ,brakes,at least these bits are fair quality. Possibly the battery as well.
At least that's what I would do.
