What has happened to this tail light, it seems to be unavailable in the UK. You can still buy it from the states with a very reasonable postage of £10. Is there any reason why its not stocked in the UK, is it illegal as it does seem very bright, they also now have a version twice as bright as the original 140R called the 400R.

Found out some more info, it would appear there i speculation that especially the 400 is too bright. The general feeling is that it could even contribute to an accident. I checked it out on youtube and its unbelievably bright.

I think you can order them directly from the US but it best to wait till they have a sale. I don't think they are any brighter than most car tail lights so I don't see how they would cause an accident.

Maybe the 400 is to much but I have always fancied the 140l which uses aa batteries which to me is a bonus.
