Yes kept the swarf off the magnets. Had to be quite delicate with it.
As the disc was quite large.
The bearings are off the shelf jobs. So easily found and brought. I replaced both bearings as the smaller one was only a fiver virtually so seemed daft not to.
The sound I think is coming from the actual motor as it spins. I get the distinct feeling it's the bearing that connects cage housing to axel for the windings or the clutch. As I think it spins rough.
It free wheels very well now and much nicer than it used to but the noise from the clutch or other bearing is a horrible graunchy sound. So I maybe replacing another bearing internally in the motor.
I'll take a look today when I get back from sunny burton.
