Have a 250w rear hub chinese folder that goes into cruise control after about 7 seconds or so. It`s very annoying if you want to speed up suddenly as you have to kill the motor then reapply the throttle. Then you have to keep varying the throttle if you dont want it to lock into cruise again.

Is there any way i can disconnect this?

This is the controller, anyone know which wire operates this cruise thing?

Is that your actual controller or a similar one from a catalogue?

Normally, they have a pair of single wires connected together to enable cruise. You disconnect them to disable it. What were the white and green wires connected to?

Are you saying that there's matching green and white wires on connectors, or that they were connected to each other, or what?

d8,
no, there`s no matching connectors , they`re not connected to anything,

however they do join together,

would it be open = cruise and
joined = cancelled??

at the minute they`re open and cruise is activated.

Don't attempt to connect them together without measuring the voltage on them. If you have 5v on one and 0v on the other, there's a chance that they do something if joined together, but they could be anything. usually a single spare single wire is for a high level brake switch (5v switched to ground). All the controllers that I've seen with cruise control had two wires, which you join to enable cruise.

0V on both of those,

connected them anyhow - nothing, same as before, after 8 seconds - cruise!

getting nowhere with this, tried disconnecting/connecting most in that rats nest but no joy, the thing still wants to cruise,

i take it those thicker green/blue/yellow are phase cables maybe?

could it possibly be locked into the pcb?

it's unusual not to have the wires to enable or disable, but, clearly, they're not there. It must therefore be a function of the software in the controller. can't you just use the PAS?
