Regrettably had to sell my e-bike kit a few months back :( but I want to build a new, and more powerful bike.

So, my question is, wheres the best place to get all the components of a kit?

Battery Cells
BMS
Controller
Throttle
LCD display?
Hub Motor

Ive read allot about putting more volts/current through a specific motor to get more power, so I was thinking of getting a 48V motor and maybe a 72V controller/battery. Did a test on a friends and It worked great with no overheating issues.

Ive also seen some programable controllers, that seems pretty cool if you can customise the power

Any advice on getting components into the UK would be great, Ive had trouble with aliexpress in the past, and Im sure you could get the parts cheaper elsewhere?

My old bike was a 500w 48V system, whist adequate and very fun, I want something that little bit faster with more torque off the line - any e-bike makes things ridiculously heavy so for me weight isn't a massive issue.

Im sure the kits off ebay are okay, but theres no room for customisation.

Anyone built a kit up separately? I like the idea of using a crystalyte hub motor - they use them in the stealth bomber i think!

well, yes importing is no t always as cheap as it seems to be cos of the duty and the vat added then, maybe its better to source some eBay parts but if you are looking for something more then 48v then this may not be the easy task to do
