E-biking is good for you - and here's the proof

Hi

On the introduce yourself thread, I commented on how e-biking had transformed my life (and received some very complimentary replies). I came across an old picture of me at 20 + stone (they are VERY rare). I thought a before and after was called for...

Now who's 'cheating'....

Cheers

Nick

There was more to it than just e-biking, but crucially, the e-biking was the catalyst that got the process rolling by helping me shed a couple of stone first, abd remains the key to maintenance.

That's great Nick, I well remember your original "Introduce yourself" post, so it's good to see the illustrations.

Thanks Flecc. I can honestly say that since my original introduction to you over Torq1 brake cutout issues, I value your opinion above all others in the forum.

My children originally suggested that in the 'after' pic I resemble Gollum (don't you just love kids). I would say that:

I have lost another stone since the after pic (hate having my picture taken, irrespective of weight - I am not one of life's photogenic subjects!).

The susbsequent loss of hair is one of life's cruel ironies( 4 years)

What the hell is the H plan?

If you look more closely at the pictures, you may spot the gold neck chain which is barely evident in the before pic but more so in the after. It shows the reduction in neck size which really brings the point home.

Before anyone thinks they have inadvertently strayed onto a weight-watchers website, I would say that there are more people as I was than you might think, who may, like me, be looking for a panacea. A panacea it ain't, but it can help, and I am trying to encourage them on the basis of what it has done for me. Not a bad sentiment surely?

PS the Cytronex Cannondale (for me at least) is the pinnacle of e-bike technology. I bought my wife a similarly equipped Ridgeback Cyclone. All went well until I let her have a go on the Cannondale. Mark - if you're reading will you do a p/ex deal, I don't think I can stand the belly-aching much longer!

Cheers

I tend to gain weight very easily Nick and I'm currently getting off over a stone. Lost half a stone in the last ten days so it doesn't take long with determination. We are far from alone in this forum in being weight challenged at times.

H Plan? I didn't look at the videos but from the "Trainspotting" clue I'd guess it's using heroin, always good for weight loss.

Glad you like the new seasons Cytronex bikes so much. I just discovered they still have a separate active website showing their last year's Trek based models. I wonder if they know?

I think they were only about £950 new originally, so the £1250 quoted seems a bit misleading. Not unusual for ebay sellers though!

It's the no-hills website that has the old models on it still.
