Is it a 250W motor? Of so then the mathematical answer is 250/36=7W but you should allow double for peak draw so I'd go with 15A. I had a 36W bike fitted with 10A and that fuse ran very hot and eventually melted its casing. With 15 in it was good.

Hello steve.c,

I had my battery fuse blow on my Bearprint (identical to Freego) 36v 16ah battery once on my way to work.
After being given a 15ah fuse plus a spare by a garage - which both blew very quickly - I tried a 30 or 35ah fuse I cannot remember which now and have not had any problems since.
They all have a peak and average ampage figures I believe, I always carry a spare now just in case.

Barry.
