woosh don't charge as much as you said they do. Check their web page:
http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit
They recommend only their 36V 15AH battery for use with the BBS01/BBS02 up to 500W because any battery with smaller capacity does not have high enough continuous discharge rate and they don't apparently sell 750W, so you have no competition there.

Didn't mean Woosh as i think their prices are similar to ours. For the 36V 500 watt Bafang kit we would also recommend the 14.5Ah Lithium Ion battery pack. We also have the Headway LifePO4 battery packs, which although heavier, offer higher discharge rates & longer life cycle in comparison to Samsung Lithium Ion battery packs.

Aha, I got it now. The company I mentioned in post #7.

The one you are referring to is a different company, but they both have similar sounding names. The one in post #7 doesn't sell mid drive kits, only hub kits.

One less competitor I suppose :p

I'm going to defend Eclipse here. I bought a BBS01 250w kit and 14.5Ah Samsung battery a few weeks ago from them. I had never come across Eclipse until then, but was very impressed by their prices. Yes, when emailing for advice there was little response, but I placed the order anyway (even Woosh stopped responding to my questions after the second email...)

Five days after ordering the kit and battery arrived as indicated by the email confirmation. Everything was very carefully packed and an effort had clearly been made. I'm well pleased with my subsequent conversion.

I really can't fault Eclipse, and would use them again. And no, I do not have any connection with the company.

You're not the only one.
I was right at the point of ordering a Krieger from Woosh. In the end my money went elsewhere, so they effectively did me a favour and saved me £300 by using Eclipse instead for the BBS01 conversion. I am sure they are a great company, but I don't think responding to 3-4 emails is too much to ask when planning to spend £900+.

woosh operate a fail safe system for answering emails. Each email is backed up then copied to two people and a trace is logged in their support database, same with their web message form, very few remain unanswered. The only exception is when they don't want to sell to you, e.g. you tell them you are going to reprogram your BBS01 kit.

I must have just been unlucky then. I asked about the Krieger, and then about putting the BBS01 on my existing bike as an alternative. Certainly not planning on reprogramming the kit, deliberately went for 250w to stay within the law.

Anyway, conversion done and bank balance less dented, so I'm happy!

If you already have a donor bike, then BBS01 is the way to go.
The motor on the Krieger is a bit more powerful than the standard BBS01. It's powered by a 20A Lishui controller and is equivalent to the BBS01 18A 350W kit plus 36V 15AH downtube battery.
From Woosh, that 350W kit would have cost you £349 + £315 = £674 (the 250W kit costs £15 less), leaving £215 for the mechanical bike. I reckon Eclipse prices are about 8% less than woosh's. How much did you spend at the end on donor bike + Eclipse kit?
BTW, the Krieger is currently out of stock until beginning of June.

I have also sent many emails to eclipse with no reply.
I wanted to make my purchase ready for when the better weather comes to the UK. Can anyone recommend another seller?

I bought the bike second hand two years ago in as new condition for £170 (the bike brand new being £550-£600) and the kit and battery delivered from Eclipse for £603. I now have a sub 18kg hybrid for just over £770. It also means my existing bike isn't just sat gathering dust and I can enjoy it more than ever before. :)

it goes to show that you can get better value with a good second hand donor and a competent kit. Your £770 probably rides just as well as a Bosch bike costing £1500+ and is more flexible.

If you want BBS01/BBS02 - you can ask questions here and buy online.

I haven't ridden anything else to compare it to, but it certainly runs very sweetly and has been a pleasure to use in the last couple of weeks. A work colleague with a Claud Butler Glide 2 has tried it and is gutted - he now wants my bike!

No emails to Cyclezee remain unanswered, even it is to tell some one someone something that they don't want to hear.
It annoys the hell out of me when I email a company and I don't get a reply, not only is it essential in business, it is a very basic courtesy.

It's the beginning of customer care (is that still in fashion?)
Keep up the good work.
