Hello,

Do you have alternatives sources for wisper 905 batteries ?

Found some sources 36V/14 in ebay for aprox 200 gbp.

Anyone tried those ?

Thank you

Basil

There are some very poor quality batteries available and it's difficult to know who to trust, the only aftermarket battery I'd try at the moment is ping as they are well used by members of the forum.

In general the higher priced batteries like those for the eZee, Wisper and Panasonic powered bikes use the latest and best technologies like the most sophisticated compound cathodes, polymerised cell content and internal Battery Management Systems (BMS) giving higher degrees of cells control and protection.

These are not marketing "fluff", they are very real improvements to withstand the stresses imposed by our bike motors which led to so many premature failures of early lithium battery types.

Cheaper lithium batteries all too often use earlier technologies for which the design knowledge and rights are freely available to anyone so easily copied. Quality control in manufacturing is also especially important on lithium batteries, as is a long enough warranty, given the past failure rates. Older technology cheap batteries can work ok on the less powerful motors that just a few bikes use, but I personally wouldn't use them on a Wisper or eZee bike, both of which have powerfully specified motors, placing greater strain on a battery's ability to deliver current.
