Congratulations on this decisive move David. One of the best things the motor industry ever did many years ago was to crack down on unsatisfactory agents by removing their agency, often with sudden and brutal efficiency.

This had a dynamic effect on remaining agents in each area where it was done and standards have been far higher ever since.

Dealerships

Thanks for your support Flecc.

It is very hard to find dealers so to actually get rid of one was a tough decision, however we have had so many problems with these guys as to be almost unbelievable.

They also started to sell the clone Wisper calling it the "Life Cycle" and have been claiming on our warranty as the clones gradually fell to bits! It wasn't until we insisted on getting a wheel and motor back from them that we noticed it was very inferior to the one we supply. If course we charged for it and should have cut them off at that point but they persuaded us to keep them on saying it had all been a big mistake! Their shop manager had a different story to tell and has subsequently left them.

There are always bad apples in any line of business and we will certainly not be so lenient on other dealers that fall short of expectations.

Best regards David

Here Here!

Just got back from a holiday and read this. As a first hand victim of EBW Southampton, I'd like to comend Wisper Bikes for taking the necessary action.

Hopefully no one else will fall prey to the problems, inconvienience and expense that I have suffered.

While on a Wisper theme, and going back to a question I've asked before but never had a proper answer. On their website A to B magazine say, " Wisper is one of the few companies that have never allowed us to test their products". (I assume that means Wisper have not been prepared to lend them a test bike - there is nothing to stop A to B borrowing or buying one). I'm sure Wisper have confidence in their products and I would think that a positive test report from A to B would only help their sales. Why not lend them a bike? Any comment David?

A to B

It is strange, I have offered David a Wisper again this month but have not heard from him yet.

He is a very busy man I will call him on Wednesday.

All the best David

Thanks for that David. If it is the case that your offers of a test bike are being turned down then I think I would be asking A to B to remove the comment that I quoted from their site. It would seem to give an unfairly negative impression.

Hi MB,

We did have a lot of complaints about them and from what I have heard they have not improved!

Did you buy a Wisper through them? If you have problems please let me know. Even though the bike may be a few years old now, we stock parts for all our bikes, so I'm confident we can help.

All the best

David

It is good to see that people are working hard to maintain the high standards of the retailers I have experienced to date. This, together with the great support I have been getting from DW at Electrifying Cycles, the arrangements made by Reaction Electric to allow me to test one of their bikes and the unbiased ( mostly) views expressed in the discussions that go on here
Keep up the good work folks
