Hello, I intend replacing the tyres on my E-bike, starting with the front one , as sidewalls are slightly perished, I use it mainly on tarmac for getting to work and back, can anyone suggest the best tyres to get ? or do I just go with available mountain bike tyres ? wheels are 26x1.75........Del.

Depends what advantage you want Del. For maximum puncture resistance, Schwalbe Marathon Plus, but they are a bit less comfortable than some. For maximum comfort, Schwalbe Big Apple in the 2" width, just like added suspension. For low rolling resistance, plain Schwalbe Marathons.

Did I mention that I like Schwalbe tyres? :)

They are dearer than common or garden tyres, but good. The one in the middle with puncture protection seen at the top in this link are for you, they'll fit your rims no problem but be a slightly tighter fit under mudguards and between the forks. Hence get the 2" ones, not the wider ones.

I see that shares in Schwalbe rocketed this morning. Any connection? It could be that someone inflated their value!
