Whilst visiting our Norwegian distributer in Oslo last month, whilst having lunch, he told me about a Group of ladies in a village called Leksvick who on the 7th May 2010 formed an electric biking club and called it El Angels. I thought the forum would enjoy!

There are now 9 members all with Wispers who meet every two weeks during the spring, summer and autumn months. They start at their village centre and ride up to 100km, for example to Trondheim.

The leader of the pack, Karli Johansen says we love our excursions on our Wisper bikes, it's a great chance to enjoy other's company whilst getting exercise and fresh air!

Love the "colours"!

All the best

Thanks Indalo, they are setting up sister groups in other villages so they can get together for visits. It could end up being a craze!

What a great idea! It would be nice if we could have similar groups hear in the UK. Is it just a coincidence that all mebers are women? It would be a shame if we have to have separate his and hers groups.

LOL.....actually I think its a really great idea ,I would prefer to keep it all women, just so we could keep the standard of conversation at a suitably intellectual level, but to allow one man to follow behind at a non intrusive distance, ready for any running repairs etc that we might need him for :p

After all, we wouldnt want to break a nail or get oily or anything......:D

Bring it on girls......any of you around Somerset ? If only we could get that going , then we could look around for a man willing to ' ride shotgun' .......any takers ? ROFLOL !!!

Lynda ......laughing herself silly.....:D

Actually ... I thought you had done that already!:D

PS Only kidding!
Oh, I dunno Don, it seems like a perfectly reasonable idea to me.....I will just wait and see if I get any PM's from other keen lady cyclists :)

And all makes of bikes will be welcome.....

THEN we will look for the male outrider.....bet you are pleased, indeed totally relieved, you live too far away !! :D

Lynda :)

Ah well, looks like men only then. What a shame. But at least it will be less embarrassing when we have to stop to "water the hedge".

LOL.....dont get TOO brave Don or when it gets to 'crunch time' you might need to run away to Cannes again :p

Or maybe thats the real 'method behind your madness '......I know what convoluting thinking processes you men sometimes employ .......:D

Indeed.......But I considered myself the most technically/mechanically bereft member on here. But that was before you came along!:p

Oh......go on then Don.....as long as you promise you can mend a puncture, and wont water the hedgerows in public.......you can come anytime you are in the area...as a sort of 'guest outrider ' :)
